The more the practitioner who is using the device is educated about how the body functions and how the frequencies work the more effective that practitioner will be in utilizing it. In short, the device must be quality, AND the brains using the Neubie or other frequency specific microcurrent technology are the most important factor in getting the optimal outcome from the device.

3. What does the treatment feel like?

Microcurrent treatment is below your sensory awareness and so you will not feel tingling. You will feel the affect of the frequencies as they ease pain and stiffness or solve other health issues such as brain fog or nervous system tension.

The Neubie can be used as a microcurrent device, in which case, the information above applies. It can also be used in other therapeutic capacities, in which case, you will feel tingling or you will feel your muscles contract. This machine is much more powerful than any other machine on the market in it's class for activating muscles that are under functioning and also more comfortable. Neubie treatment is not painful and is performed in a sensation range that is uniquely adapted to the tolerance of each individual patient. It will feel like a strong comfortable tingling for certain applications, but not stinging or burning as can be the case with many other electrical devices

and2. I have a TENS or NMES machine or I have experienced electrical stimulation at another clinician's office. Is it the same thing?

It is not the same thing. Frequency specific microcurrent actually stimulates the body to heal itself, and it can stimulate nerves that are under functioning, it can balance the brain. You won't feel any tingling when frequency specific microcurrent is running. But you will feel the affect of the current, as it helps solve your pain or function problem. TENS units and interferential stimulation units provide pain relief by creating a strong sensation for the brain to pay attention to that blocks the messages that were causing the brain to produce a pain signal. So a person with pain who puts on a TENS unit is just blocking the perception of pain, but not actually solving the cause of the pain. An NMES unit activates muscles to contract, this is usually fairly uncomfortable with most units at higher activation levels (the levels needed to get a sleepy muscle to fire). The Neubie can activate sleepy and/or weak muscles and under functioning nerves in a way that is much more comfortable and powerful than any NMES machine on the market.

The number of sessions will be determined in your evaluation which takes 60 minutes. In that evaluation your therapist will take a thorough assessment of the root cause of your symptoms and how the technology can be utilized to help you reach your goals. Then your therapist will work with you to create a plan that works for you to achieve those goals.

5. Is Neubie treatment covered by insurance?

Anderson Sport and Wellness is out-of-network with all insurance and has no relationship with Medicare. That means that you will pay cash for your visits and we will give you a superbill to give to your insurance for out-of-network benefits. There will be no reimbursement from Medicare.
